The frogs will make their official debut at the Fair Mixer on April 30, 2026, before embarking on a series of appearances that include visits to local schools and community events throughout the region.<\/p>\n
Highlights of the tour include the State Capitol Frog Jump on May 5 in Sacramento, sponsored by Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil (Senate District 4), and the Calaveras County Government Center Jump on May 12 in San Andreas.<\/p>\n
Last year\u2019s Capitol event drew more than 50 elected officials, legislative staff, and media representatives, all competing for bragging rights and the chance to advance to the prestigious Jumping Frog Jubilee Grand Finals. This year\u2019s event is especially significant, marking the 50th anniversary of the Capitol Frog Jump, a milestone celebration of this unique California tradition.<\/p>\n

The Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee, inspired by Mark Twain\u2019s famous short story, continues to be one of California\u2019s most distinctive and entertaining events, featuring frog jumping competitions, live entertainment, exhibits, and family-friendly fun.<\/p>\n
