<\/a><\/p>\nThrough continued interviews and follow-up inquiries, deputies determined that there was an unreported physical altercation on campus that occurred on 04\/29\/2026. Individuals present near the initial altercation reported hearing statements made in its aftermath. However, further investigation revealed that the referenced comments by one of the students were not directed at any specific individual, group, or the school itself.<\/p>\n
Additional interviews indicated that the information, as relayed to law enforcement, had been passed through multiple parties, resulting in a heightened perception of concern that was not supported by the totality of the facts.<\/p>\n
At this time, investigators have found no credible or specific threat directed at the school or its students, and there is no indication of an active safety concern on campus. The student who reportedly made these threats has still not been identified. Investigators are still working on this to ultimately speak with the student and gather additional information and context.<\/p>\n
The Calaveras County Sheriff\u2019s Office will always respond thoroughly to any report involving potential threats to school safety. Even when information is later determined not to constitute a credible threat, each report is taken seriously and investigated to its conclusion to ensure the safety of students and staff.<\/p>\n
If law enforcement personnel are present on campus over the next few school days, their focus will be on additional patrols to support a safe learning environment and maintain positive engagement with students and staff.<\/p>\n
