The event once again crossed the scenic Pardee Dam, where the East Bay Municipal Utility District graciously hosted participants and provided a beautiful setting for the torch\u2019s journey through the county.<\/p>\n The Law Enforcement Torch Run is more than a relay; it is the largest public awareness and fundraising event for Special Olympics, helping provide year-round sports training, athletic competition, leadership opportunities, and health programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
