The tournament honors Doris Barger, founder and first president of the Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation, whose passion for advancing women’s health continues to impact generations of patients across Calaveras County. The Foundation recognizes the event as its longest-running and most popular fundraiser, with proceeds dedicated to advancing women’s health initiatives in the community.<\/p>\n
Over the past 19 years, funds raised through the Doris Barger Golf Outing have helped support critical women’s health services, technology, equipment, and programs that allow patients to receive care close to home.<\/p>\n

Over the past four years, the tournament has alternated between Greenhorn Creek Resort and The Golf Club at Copper Valley, creating a friendly rivalry between club members and the surrounding communities.<\/p>\n
