Additional state and local resources have been requested to support response efforts and provide additional assistance as needed.<\/p>\n<p>As of approximately 1:00 P.M., the fire is estimated at approximately 10,374 acres and is roughly 26% contained. Volunteers with the American Red Cross are on scene at both locations, providing assistance alongside Calaveras County Health and Human Services.<br \/>\nLivestock Evacuation &amp; Information:<br \/>\nCalaveras County Fairgrounds &#8211; 2465 Gunclub Road, Angels Camp, CA 95222 &#8211; 209-736-2561 ext. 101<br \/>\n\u2022 The Amador County Sheriff\u2019s Office is assisting with livestock evacuation and transportation in partnership with OES. If you need assistance with transporting livestock, please contact 209-419-2000. The address where livestock will be taken is Laughton Ranch, located at 90 Clinton Road in Jackson. We sincerely thank the Amador County personnel for their assistance during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Public Information:<br \/>\nPersonnel are actively evaluating the current fire zone perimeters to determine whether adjustments can be safely made. Establishing a repopulation plan as quickly and safely as possible remains a priority. Any changes to the current fire zones will be communicated through an updated public release.<br \/>\nAll of the affected zones continue to be patrolled by Calaveras County Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies, along with our state and local law enforcement partners. These patrols are 24 hours a day and begin at the onset of the fire. These patrols will continue as residents remain evacuated. As of August 8, 2026, there have been no reports of significant incidents requiring law enforcement response.<br \/>\nNormal patrol operations throughout the remainder of Calaveras County continue without disruption. Sheriff\u2019s Office personnel remain staffed and ready to respond to calls for service and serve the needs of our community.<br \/>\nPG&amp;E personnel are on scene and actively assessing any potential damage to their infrastructure. We ask the public to remain aware of the significant number of personnel, vehicles, and equipment operating throughout the affected areas and surrounding communities as part of the ongoing fire response.<br \/>\nResidents or travelers should be prepared for temporary traffic impacts, including emergency equipment that may be staged along or near roadways while crews continue critical response and recovery operations. Please use caution, follow directions from emergency personnel, and allow crews the space needed to safely perform their work.<br \/>\nWe also remind anyone currently in an affected zone, including those using day-use areas or fishing along shorelines, to leave immediately. Please use extreme caution when entering or exiting affected zones, as fire personnel, emergency responders, and equipment continue operating in these areas.<br \/>\nIf you feel your safety is at risk, do not delay in evacuating. If you require assistance evacuating, call 9-1-1 immediately.
