<\/a><\/p>\nRobert was born on May 29, 1935, in a house in Pittsburgh, CA, and grew up in Concord, CA, attending Mt Diablo High, where he met his wife, Carol Gimble, and lifelong friends. Married November 1956, then drafted to Frankfurt, Germany. He and Carol traveled all over Europe and had their first child, Jeffrey. Returning to Concord, they welcomed their second child, Denise. Robert worked at the Shell Oil refinery in Martinez, CA, as a supervisor for 30 years.<\/p>\n
At 55, Robert and Carol retired to Murphys, CA, living in a golf community, living their best life, meeting new friends, and enjoying family get-togethers, including their grandchildren Calli, Kelsey, and Zeke.<\/p>\n
Carol sadly passed away in 2016, leaving Robert to eventually move back to the Bay Area and reside at the Carlton in Martinez close to his daughter, where he continued to meet new friends.<\/p>\n
An avid golfer and a great storyteller, he was always entertaining in large groups. He was a lifelong fan of baseball and loved his dogs.<\/p>\n
