During this engaging look back at local history, we\u2019ll explore how and why the voters of Calaveras County came together in 1946 to form the District, and how that decision helped shape many of the communities we know today.<\/p>\n
The presentation will begin immediately following the White Pines Park Committee\u2019s monthly meeting. If you\u2019ve never attended one of their meetings, consider coming down early to learn about the incredible work this dedicated group of volunteers does to help keep White Pines Park such a beautiful and treasured community gathering place.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll have coffee and cookies available, and a wonderful group of young local entrepreneurs will be selling popsicles, so be sure to bring a few dollars to support their efforts!<\/p>\n
This is a story about Calaveras County. It\u2019s a story of local people coming together with a vision for the future and creating something that continues to serve our community 80 years later.
