Columbia, CA…At 4:45 PM, on July 27 Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a plane crash at the Columbia Airport in Columbia. The small private plane was coming from the north to land on the runway. It is reported that the plane veered to left off of the runway and crashed. The plane was completely engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived on scene. These four deceased victims have been positively identified, through dental records, as the people that passed away as a result of the plane crash at Columbia Airport on 07\/27\/16. Their next-of-kin have been officially notified. The four deceased victims have been positively identified through dental records as the people that passed away as a result of the plane crash at Columbia Airport on Wednesday evening. Daniel Allan Kruetzenfeldt a 43 year old man who was the Pilot of the plane. Daniel was employed as a commercial pilot. He was married to Kristin Kay Kruetzfeldt a 44 year old woman who also lost her life in the crash. Claude Ernest Chandler, a 69 year old man, was a passenger in the plane. He was the step-father to Daniel and retired from Sierra Conservation Center. Mary Lynne Chandler, a 71 year old woman, mother to Daniel and married to Claude. Daniel and Kristen share three children together. We can only imagine the sorrow and pain this family is going through. We send our prayers and deepest condolences to the family. The National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating the cause of the accident and will be analyzing the aircraft.<\/p>\n
