<\/a><\/p>\nDuring the accident investigation it was determined the driver, Peter Kampa 54 of Sonora, was driving a Toyota Rav 4 westbound on Bonanza Road when he reached for his cell phone, causing him to drift off the roadway and collide with a parked Dodge Caravan, which was parked on the north side of Bonanza Road.
\nKampa\u2019s passenger complained of pain to their right shoulder, which they claimed was caused by the seatbelt during the collision. Kampa showed symptoms of intoxication and was believed to have been driving while under the influence.
\nKampa was placed under arrested without incident. He was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for felony driving under the influence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
