She was 86. She was laid to rest in the Angels Camp Cemetery Mausoleum on Oct. 24, 2016, during a private family ceremony.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/FullSizeRender-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/FullSizeRender-1.jpg\" alt=\"fullsizerender\" width=\"200\" height=\"330\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26926\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/FullSizeRender-1.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/FullSizeRender-1-182x300.jpg 182w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lillian was the only child born to Tony Tanko and Frances Bozich in Hibbing, Minn. She attended the historic Altaville School and Bret Harte High School. She married the love of her life, Raymond Callahan, on July 31, 1948, in the original St. Patrick\u2019s Catholic Church in Angels Camp. She worked for the Altaville Market, Pacific Gas &#038; Electric Co. and Horst\u2019s Furniture Store. Her life was dedicated to her family, travel with her husband and friends, and her father\u2019s well drilling business Tanko Well Drilling.<\/p>\n<p>More often than not, she was found with rollers in her hair, a Fudgsicle in hand, watching \u201cThe Price is Right\u201d or \u201cWheel of Fortune.\u201d She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.<\/p>\n<p>Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Raymond. And is survived by daughter Jennifer Eltringham (David); son Martin Callahan (Rosalee); grandchildren Aimee (Drew) McDonald, Jeffrey (Kerry) Eltringham, Ryan (Kellie) Callahan, Rosalee Callahan (Thomas Hayes), Selena and Leah; and great-grandchildren Hailey, Courtney, Norah, Kasey, Bailey, Paige and Evan. <\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calaveras County Friends of the Fair or Hospice of Amador and Calaveras.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Altaville, CA&#8230;me surrounded by family.
