A Park Ranger will be available on site to answer questions about the dam and history of New Melones Lake. The dam overlook is off of Old Melones Dam Rd\/Peoria Flat Rd, which can be reached by taking O\u2019Byrnes Ferry Rd from Hwy 108.

You might call it the \u201coff\u201d season, but it\u2019s a fantastic time to explore some of the lesser known aspects of New Melones Lake and its environs. This month, take advantage of the following interpretive and recreational programs: All activities are free of charge, and children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
