Truckee, CA…Natural and human triggered<\/a> avalanches<\/a> are certain today due to the significant amount of rain on snow expected below 9300 ft. and heavy wet snow loading<\/a> above 9000 ft. Large, deep, destructive wet slab<\/a>, deep slab<\/a>, and wind slab<\/a> avalanches<\/a> will occur today as well as loose wet avalanches<\/a>. Avalanches<\/a> could run farther than expected and involve almost the entire snowpack. Avoid travel in or near avalanche<\/a> terrain or runout<\/a> zones today. EXTREME avalanche danger<\/a> exists at all elevations.<\/p>\n

* AFFECTED AREA…FOR THE SIERRA NEVADA MOUNTAINS OF CALIFORNIA
\nAND NEVADA, FROM YUBA PASS TO EBBETTS PASS, INCLUDING THE LAKE
\nTAHOE BASIN. <\/p>\n

* AVALANCHE DANGER…EXTREME. <\/p>\n

* REASON\/IMPACTS…NATURAL AND HUMAN TRIGGERED AVALANCHES ARE
\nCERTAIN TODAY DUE TO THE SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF RAIN AND SNOW
\nEXPECTED BELOW 9300 FEET AND HEAVY WET SNOW LOADING ABOVE 9000
\nFEET. LARGE, DEEP, DESTRUCTIVE WET SLAB, DEEP SLAB, AND WIND
