Sonora, CA…On Tuesday, January 17th, just before 630 p.m., the Sonora Police Department arrested 28-year-old Steven William Gentis of Twain Harte for Criminal Threats. Sonora Police Officers had taken a report alleging that Gentis threatened to return to the hospital emergency room on a specific date with a gun. Other comments were made by Gentis indicating his intent to cause great bodily harm or death to multiple individuals at the hospital.<\/p>\n

At one point during the initial contact with Gentis, he became physically violent with police officers and had to be wrestled into handcuffs. An officer suffered minor injuries as a result of the confrontation, but Gentis was subdued without any serious injury to any of the parties involved.<\/p>\n
