By voting to extend the regulations, urban water districts will be subject to an additional 270 days of consumption reports, \u201cstress tests,\u201d and water-use cuts.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/ted-gaines-headshot-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/ted-gaines-headshot-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"264\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25461\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis decision is blind to the plain fact seen on every mountain, river and reservoir in the north state. We are flush with water, and they know that, but this lays bare their \u201cpermanent drought\u201d plan that will let them limit and control water use forever to meet their environmentalist agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere has been so much talk about \u201csanctuary cities\u201d and \u201csanctuary states\u201d lately, all relating to immigration. But now I\u2019m convinced that California citizens need a sanctuary from unelected bureaucrats who won\u2019t call off the drought when people are all but having to canoe to work because of the rain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe state needs to waive every rule, expend every dollar it has to get Sites Reservoir built and complete other surface storage projects so we can bank more of this water instead of letting it run out into the sea.
