Sonora, CA…The Columbia College Financial Aid Office invites the community to a free workshop to learn about Financial Aid for college on Saturday, April 8 between 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Starbucks conference room located in the Sonora Junction shopping center at 13761 Mono Way, Sonora. The workshop is open to all and no appointment is necessary. <\/p>\n

Financial Aid professionals will be available to answer questions and provide one-on-one assistance to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Undocumented students will receive assistance completing the Dream Act Application.<\/p>\n

To complete the applications, current and prospective students will need to bring the following materials: Social Security Card or Alien registration number, if you have one; 2015 federal income tax forms or any 2015 income data collected for student and parents\/guardians, such as W2 forms or year-end pay stubs, if you have not yet filed a 2015 tax return; Records of untaxed income, if applicable; List of colleges you are interested in attending.<\/p>\n

If you are a dependent student, then you will also need to provide most of the above information from your parents.<\/p>\n
