Angels Camp, CA…Publication of the Out of the Fire anthology, the Manzanita Writers Press collection of writing and photography contributions from community authors and artists, is in need of funding support to meet its deadline. The print anthology is a breathtaking compilation of submissions whose purpose is to heal the community in the aftermath of the devastating 2015 Butte Fire and serve as a lasting record of the event.<\/p>\n

To fund publication and printing costs, and to meet the June 2017 release date, MWP opened an online Kickstarter campaign that ends on May 8th, less than a month away. Without community support, MWP will not be able to publish this anthology that has come from the hearts and spirits of our friends, families, and neighbors.<\/p>\n

A public-benefit organization, Kickstarter brings funding needs directly to donors who become backers in the creative project, with a personal interest in meeting the goal. On this \u201ccrowd source\u201d funding platform, sponsors, community members, and others can donate within a specific window of time. All donations to Out of the Fire Anthology: A Celebration are gratefully accepted, and donors who contribute at certain levels can receive rewards. During the campaign, backers can stay posted on the project\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n
