Mokelumne Hill, CA…The 12th Annual Gold Rush Writers\u2019 Conference will be held May 5 – 7th in the picturesque Gold Country town of Mokelumne Hill at the historic Hotel Leger. The goal of the Gold Rush Writers\u2019 Conference is to provide creative writers of all levels a chance to participate one-on-one with established professionals through workshops, lectures, panels and readings.\u00a0Limited to approximately 80 participants, the Gold Rush Writers\u2019 Conference prides itself on its intimacy and charm. Opportunities abound for networking and developing community with like-minded individuals who share a passion for the written word. Even those who just love to listen are encouraged to attend. The Gold Rush Writers\u2019 Conference was founded in 2005 by New York Times best-selling author and Mokelumne Hill resident Antoinette May with the help of a dedicated group of fellow writers. <\/p>\n

The Gold Rush Writers\u2019 Conference draws participants from the tri-county region of Tuolumne, Calaveras, and Amador, with some attendees traveling from as far away as Sacramento, the San Francisco Bay Area, and beyond.\u00a0Over the years, nearly 800 individuals have benefited from the conference and numerous attendees choose to return year-after-year. \u00a0
\nPast attendee Marianne Barisonek, a freelance journalist from Portland, Oregon, states, \u201cI\u2019ve attended twice and would go again in a heartbeat. The quality of the workshops has been outstanding. You\u2019ll meet interesting people and be inspired. The 12th Annual Gold Rush Writers\u2019 Conference jumpstarts Friday night, May 5, with a picnic supper in a Victorian garden at the home of Antoinette May, followed by a reading from featured guests. (This address will be provided long in advance to all pre-registered attendees). <\/p>\n

Saturday, May 6th, offers a rich array of workshops throughout the day and ends with a dinner, followed by a presentation (open to the public) by internationally-acclaimed author and poet, James Ragan: http:\/\/www.goldrushwriters.com\/#conference_schedule <\/p>\n

After the evening presentation, attendees are welcome to participate in an open mic reading before meandering over to the bar to \u2018schmooze\u2019 with friends and enjoy a \u2018night cap\u2019.<\/p>\n
