The event will be the 8th annual \u201cTiger Fest,\u201d which is organized by the Friends of Rail Road Flat School, and which each time features a different theme, such as Africa, South of the Border, and Gypsymania.  For this year, the theme will be German selected by local chef for the night, Bell Francisco, who was born in Germany.  The evening at the Rail Road Flat Community Hall will not only feature an Angelis performance but also a complete dinner with a hearty German flair. Doors open at 5:00 pm for a social hour at the no-host bar, followed by the performance at 6:00 pm. Dinner will be served at intermission. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tigerfest.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"767\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tigerfest.jpg 548w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tigerfest-214x300.jpg 214w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tigerfest-150x210.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tigerfest-357x500.jpg 357w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 548px) 100vw, 548px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The admission is $25 per person or $40 per couple (kids are discounted) and includes the concert, appetizers, dinner, and a complimentary beverage, which this year is the \u201cKillepitsch Cocktail ,\u201d a refreshing drink made with Killepitsch, pineapple juice, cranberry juice and soda.<\/p>\n<p> Reservations can be made by phone 209-304-8932 or 209-256-7587 or by email chelle0820@sbcglobal.net or autumnandahl@gmail.com  by May 6.  A Super Raffle will be held in order to raise additional funds for the many school Enrichment Programs that the Friends  produce.  If you are unable to attend, the Friends encourage you to donate a raffle item. <\/p>\n<p>Angelis is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning composer and violin virtuoso who has successfully transcended artistic boundaries \u2013 her music is built on a solid classical foundation, but the inspiration flows freely from Eastern Europe, Russia, and Spain.\u00a0 Angelis\u2019 brilliant compositions showcase the beauty, power, and excitement of her playing.  With heels clicking and with heartwarming humility, Angelis mesmerizes her audiences.  Playing drums with her will be Mark Dyken. Part of the event\u2019s proceeds will go for the facility care of guitarist Josef Gault, husband of Angelis. <\/p>\n<p>Angelis music has been featured on network TV, PBS, NPR, and during the 2000 Olympics, when world champion gymnast Kui Yuanyuan of China used Kim\u2019s music for her floor exercise. For ten years, Angelis\u2019 first CD,\u00a0Violin Voyager, resided on the Taiwanese Billboard charts. The film\u00a0Sweet Nothings\u00a0features her music, which was nominated for Best Original Score by the California Independent Film Society and Best Score by the International Independent Film Tour.  The 2005 release,\u00a0Gypsy\u2019s Odyssey, made Top Ten lists from Santa Cruz, CA, to Herford, Germany. In 2007, her song, \u201cZingaro!\u201d won\u00a0Global Rhythm Magazine\u2019s\u00a0international songwriting competition. She\u2019s been recognized by the American Society of Composers and Publishers for her creative contributions to American music. In 2014, Kim Angelis was honored to represent the United States at Beijing World Music Week and at the Beishan World Music Festival\u00a0in China.<\/p>\n<p>The Friends of Rail Road Flat School operates as a non-profit organization under the auspices of the Blue Mountain Community Renewal Council.
