Monitor Pass was closed for the 2016-17 winter season on November 30, 2016.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/caltransm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"203\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6861\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/caltransm.jpg 214w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/caltransm-150x142.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 214px) 100vw, 214px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to records dating back to 2004-2005, today\u2019s opening marks the latest date that Monitor Pass has opened in the past 13 years, as well as the first opening day during the month of May.
