San Andreas, CA…CHP is reporting a rollover vehicle collision with fire has closed Hwy 49 near Gold Strike.
\n The fire has spread to vegetation and firefighters are working hard to keep the fire from spreading. Please use caution and expect delays in the area until the incident has been dealt with. (Update as of 3:37pm…fire has spread rapidly to possibly 20 acres. Sounds like they are starting to get ahead of it though…) (Update as of 4:31pm…Forward progress has been stopped, detours are in place and according to CHP the roadway should reopen around 6pm) We would like to thank Erin Borean for pics of the smoke column from the Valley Springs area.<\/p>\n
