These taxes were on top of the $3 million in<br \/>\nfees collected via the Urgency Ordinance Registration in Spring\/Summer 2016.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calaverascannabis.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/CCALogo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"376\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-42852\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/CCALogo.jpg 376w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/CCALogo-300x160.jpg 300w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/CCALogo-150x80.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 376px) 100vw, 376px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the Internal Revenue Service, only 64% of Americans required to pay income tax do<br \/>\nso. Calaveras Cannabis farmers came it at an impressive 81%. Also, District 4 Supervisor Dennis Mills<br \/>\npredicted the county would not see more than $2 million in Measure C Tax revenue, nearly $5 million<br \/>\nless that collected in the first installment.<\/p>\n<p>A portion of tax collected has already been allocated to balance the county budget and the<br \/>\ntaxes go straight to our general fund. They can be used on things that benefit all residents like public<br \/>\nsafety, road repairs, parks etc. However, should the county supervisors enact a ban on cultivation, this<br \/>\ntax revenue will disappear and the deficit they filled will soon grow exponentially.<\/p>\n<p>This is yet another example of the farming community\u2019s commitment to operating legally and<br \/>\ndedication to the betterment of our County.
