Moisture occurred over the fire on Wednesday (8\/2), and the reconnaissance flight and ground resources reported very limited fire and smoke activity the past two days. The terrain is very steep and rugged, making firefighting access difficult and a safety concern. Firefighters are in strategic and safe locations near the fire to monitor fire behavior and to stop fire spread as needed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/usfslogo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8368\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/usfslogo.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/usfslogo-150x169.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The fire\u2019s objectives includes firefighter and public safety; protection, maintenance and enhancement of natural and cultural resources; and to the extent possible, facilitate the return of fire as an ecosystem process to improve landscape resiliency.<\/p>\n<p>Fire Information: The fire\u2019s perimeter growth is being kept within a pre-planned, designated area primarily within the Dome Inventoried Roadless Area (a \u201cnear natural\u201d management emphasis area, based on Stanislaus National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan). No evacuations, road or trail closures are in effect, although we advise the public to avoid this area.
