Students will come to school in their pajamas.<br \/>\nLunch Time Activity:<br \/>\n\u25cf Find the gum in the pie.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday:<br \/>\nDress-Up Day:<br \/>\n\u25cf Under Armor. Students will come to school dressed in sports attire<br \/>\nand memorabilia.<br \/>\nLunchtime Activity:<br \/>\n\u25cf Name that Song<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday:<br \/>\nDress-Up Day:<br \/>\n\u25cf Underdog. Students will come to school dressed like superheroes<br \/>\nLunchtime Activity:<br \/>\n\u25cf Musical Chairs<br \/>\nAFTER SCHOOL DECORATING PARTY 4-6<br \/>\nMusic and fun while all classes decorate and post signs together. 25<br \/>\nspirit points awarded each to the 2 classes that are the most<br \/>\nproductive and have the most students show up!<\/p>\n<p>Thursday:<br \/>\n\u25cf Under the Same Roof. Twin day! Students will come to school dressed<br \/>\nthe same as another student.<br \/>\nLunchtime Activity:<br \/>\n\u25cf Watermelon Eating Contest<\/p>\n<p>Friday:<br \/>\nDress-Up Day:<br \/>\n\u25cf Under the Lights. Students will come to school dressed in purple and<br \/>\ngold colors.<br \/>\nLunchtime Activity:<br \/>\n\u25cf Under the Shade<br \/>\nLunchtime Activities Scoring:<br \/>\nFirst Place: 40 points<br \/>\nSecond Place: 30 points<br \/>\nThird Place: 20 Points<br \/>\nFourth Place: 10 points<br \/>\n*Bret harte high school dress code applies to all dress-up days<\/p>\n<p>Campus Decorating:<br \/>\nEach class will be able to decorate their own section in the school. Each<br \/>\nclass will be assigned an area that they are allowed to decorate to earn<br \/>\npoints for their grade. Each grade will follow a specific theme with their<br \/>\ndecorations. On Friday, September 15th, decorations will be moved to a<br \/>\ndesignated area on the Bret Harte Track, to be on display during the<br \/>\nhomecoming game that night. Any class found damaging or removing<br \/>\ndecorations will be docked points. Each class will be responsible for<br \/>\ncleaning up their prospective areas in quads and also stadium by start of<br \/>\nschool Tuesday September 19th. Each class completely cleaned up will<br \/>\nreceive an additional 50 spirit points.<\/p>\n<p>The Decorating Areas are as follows:<br \/>\nFreshmen: Math and Science Building|Horseshoe side of the track<br \/>\nSophomores: Office Quad|Concession stand side of the track<br \/>\nJuniors: Upper Gym &#038; Reese\u2019s Quad| Bus Chute<br \/>\nSeniors: Quad|Home Section<br \/>\nThe Class Themes are as follows:<br \/>\nFreshmen: Under the Big Top (circus)<br \/>\nSophomores: Undercover (spy)<br \/>\nJuniors: Under the Sun (beach)<br \/>\nSeniors: Under the Sea (ocean)<\/p>\n<p>Mini Parade:<br \/>\nUsing the class themes, each class will have a chance to partake in a walking<br \/>\nparade around the track between the Junior Varsity and Varsity<br \/>\nHomecoming game on Friday. Classroom advisors will have details on<br \/>\nwhere and when to line up on the game night. Wagons, picket signs,<br \/>\nbicycles, etc. No motorized or electric vehicles allowed.<\/p>\n<p>Scoring &#038; Judging:<br \/>\nQuad Areas:<br \/>\nThursday @ 3:30 Judging will take place for school quad areas.<br \/>\nJudges are looking for: creativity, following particular theme, quality and<br \/>\nquantity of decorations.<br \/>\nFirst place: 150 pts.<br \/>\nSecond Place: 100 pts.<br \/>\nThird Place: 50 pts.<br \/>\nFourth: 25 pts.<\/p>\n<p>An additional separate 50 points will be awarded to the class which<br \/>\nincorporates the most school pride (purple &#038; gold) into the theme.<br \/>\nStadium:<\/p>\n<p>Stadium Judging will take place Friday night during the games. Judges are<br \/>\nlooking for: creativity, following particular theme, quality and quantity of<br \/>\ndecorations. Time permitting, we hope to announce winners by half time<\/p>\n<p>Varsity game.<br \/>\nFirst place: 100 pts.<br \/>\nSecond Place: 50 pts.<br \/>\nAn additional separate 50 points will be awarded to the class that<br \/>\nreceives vocal audience judging.<\/p>\n<p>Mini parade:<br \/>\n75 spirit points awarded to each class that has participation of at least<br \/>\n15 members (people walking) and at least 15 different objects (signs, minifloats,<br \/>\ntwirlers, flags, etc).<\/p>\n<p>Homecoming Queens:<br \/>\nHomecoming Princesses nominated by Fall varsity Sports and campus<br \/>\nclubs. Staff vote nominations to final 5 princeses. Princesses will be notified<br \/>\nby Pond Wednesday, September 6th. They will pick their escorts and \u201cmode<br \/>\nof transportation\u201d around track for Homecoming Friday between Varsity<br \/>\nand Junior Varsity game. Princesses will be presented to the school at the<br \/>\nrally Friday, September 8th. Student Body will vote for Homecoming queen<br \/>\nfrom the 5 princess candidates during Pond, Wednesday September<br \/>\n13th. Drag will put ballots in your box for Pond. No student is forced to<br \/>\nvote, however one vote per student.<\/p>\n<p>Rallies:<br \/>\nFriday, September 8th: Presentation of Homecoming Princesses, Dress<br \/>\nUp days and Homecoming week promotion.<br \/>\nPeriods 2, 4, 6, 8<br \/>\nRally @ 2:40 during Pond.<br \/>\nFriday, September 15th: Homecoming Rally.<br \/>\nPeriods 2, 4, 6, 8\/Rally at 1:35; early release at 2:35. Students will check<br \/>\ninto Pond and teachers will escort students to the rally.<\/p>\n<p>Homecoming Dance:<br \/>\nDance from 9PM to 11PM outside in the Quad next to the Lower Gym. No<br \/>\nneed to dress up as the theme is purple and gold and school spirit. 5$<br \/>\nentrance, can be bought at the door.<br \/>\nDowntown Banner: Permit to be Hung up from 9.4.17-9.18.17 Purple and<br \/>\ngold jerseys to also be hung up.<\/p>\n<p>Guardian Angels: Varsity Volleyball and varsity cheer randomly select<br \/>\nvarsity football players to be guardian angels. Discovery will be revealed at<br \/>\nrally on the 15th.
