February 21, 2018 \u2013 Sierra Celtic Society Meeting at the Murphys Historic Hotel – The life of 18th-century Scottish poet and songwriter, Robert Burns, will be the program topic at the Western Sierra Celtic Society\u2019s 7 p.m., Wednesday meeting in the Historic Murphys Hotel\u2019s banquet room. Born in 1759, Burns\u2019 birthday is celebrated globally, with his poems and songs. His well-known Auld Lang Syne is traditionally sung on New Year\u2019s Eve. The presentation will follow the 7 p.m. Irish-Scottish club\u2019s business meeting. Attendees may arrive early for a no-host dinner in the hotel\u2019s restaurant.
