Party-1 allowed her vehicle to drift to the left and over corrected back to the right where the vehicle struck a utility pole on the north shoulder of SR-12.  The utility pole sheared at the base and a vegetation fire was started as a result.  SR-12 was closed at the location, for approximately 1 hour, so that the fire could be extinguished and PG&#038;E could assess the downed power line.
