January 30 \u2013 April 29, 2018 \u2013 Cattle in the Sierras Exhibit at the Old Timers Museum – Funded by a California Stories grant from California Humanities, the Murphys Old Timers Museum, has produced an exhibit on the long-established practice of transhumance in the California Foothills and Sierra Nevada. Friday – Sunday 12-4 pm<\/p>\n
March 2-25, 2018 \u2013 Arsenic & Old Lace at the Black Bart Playhouse – Murphys Creek Theatre launches its new vibrant season with the deep dark comedy classic Arsenic and Old Lace, opening March 2nd and runs till the 25th. The play runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm, Sundays at 2pm. http:\/\/www.murphyscreektheatre.org\/<\/p>\n
March 3, 2018 \u2013 Guided Hikes of the North Grove at Big Trees State Park – Meet at the Warming Hut a little before 1 pm to enjoy a walk or snowshoe hike (weather dependent) around the North Grove lead by one of the Park\u2019s talented docents. The walk usually is about 2 hours. Bring water. Please call 209-795-3840 for current weather and trail conditions. Snow shoes are available for the first 30 adults and children, or you can bring your own. Experience on snowshoes is not required as the group stays together and hikes at an easy pace. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. On the walk, you\u2019ll learn about how nature\u2019s critters and plants adapt to winter and have opportunities for picture taking.
