Gary cares about our community, our schools, and our Sheriff\u2019s Office. Gary Stevens has lived in Calaveras County for more than 28 years. His family lives here. He has raised his children here and one still attends school here. Gary’s close friends live here. Gary is the only candidate who has worked for the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office and outside of Calaveras County, and for 5 different Sheriffs! His expertise and experience have given him the insight as to how to provide services to the community.<\/p>\n

There are many challenges facing the Calaveras Sheriff\u2019s Office and Calaveras County as a whole.\u00a0 One of the biggest concerns and overall challenges we are facing is the quality of life that we are losing. Gary wants to restore and protect it.<\/p>\n

\u200bGary is the only candidate running for Sheriff who is against commercial marijuana activity, and he advocates for a ban on commercial marijuana activities in Calaveras County.\u00a0 The future of our environmental health, and the overall health and well being of our county is in danger as we speak. The degradation it is causing in our community and our schools will have long term negative consequences.<\/p>\n

\u200bIt’s time the people of Calaveras hear what is really happening in our community.\u00a0 As your Sheriff, Gary will speak out publicly against any proposed local and state laws that will have a negative effect on the citizens and community in which we live.<\/p>\n
