Mokelumne Hill, CA…On Sunday 4\/8\/18 at approx. 1737 hours the Calaveras County Sheriff\u2019s Office Communications Center received a 911 call of a motorcycle down near Highway 26 west of Mokelumne Hill. CHP units responded and fire\/medics also arrived on scene. CHP contacted the Sheriff’s Office and advised that the injured male motorcycle rider appeared to be the victim of a gunshot wound. Sheriff\u2019s Patrol Units and Sheriff\u2019s Detectives responded to the scene to conduct a criminal investigation. Highway 26 between Mokelumne Hill and Paloma Road remained closed throughout the night and into the morning as Sheriff\u2019s Investigators worked at the scene. <\/p>\n
