Fowler, the author of six novels and three short story collections has written literary, contemporary, historical, and science fiction. Her most recent novel, We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves, won the 2013 PEN\/Faulkner, the California Book Award, and was shortlisted for the Man Booker. \u201cIt\u2019s been years since I\u2019ve felt so passionate about a book. Gold Rush Writers\u2019 Conference was founded in 2005 by New York Times best-selling author and Mokelumne Hill resident Antoinette May with the help of a dedicated group of fellow writers. The goal of the Gold Rush Writers\u2019 Conference is to provide creative writers of all levels<\/p>\n

a chance to participate one-on-one with established professionals through workshops, lectures,
\npanels and readings. In January 2017, Arnold resident, Sally Kaplan, came on board as the Co-
\nDirector of Gold Rush Writers\u2019 Conference with the goal of widening its appeal.<\/p>\n
