Party #2 was driving Vehicle #2 in the Westbound traffic lane of State Route 4 at approximately 55MPH.  P-1, due to his unsafe speed, allowed V-1 to travel left of the left of the solid double yellow center line while attempting to negotiate a natural curve in the roadway to his right.  P-2 observed V-1 approaching him within P-2\u2019s traffic lane and applied his brakes forcefully.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/chplogo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/chplogo.jpg\" alt=\"chplogo\" width=\"220\" height=\"94\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1763\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>V-1 then struck V-2.  After the collision, V-1 came to rest on its wheels facing in a Northerly direction blocking the Eastbound traffic lane.  V-2 came to rest on its wheels facing in a Southerly direction partially blocking the Westbound traffic lane.
