\nFrom Calaveras County Planning Director’s June 5, 2015 Press Release:
\n\u201cThe\u00a0Calaveras\u00a0County\u00a0Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission will hold a study session on the Draft General Plan on Tuesday, June 30th\u00a0at\u00a06:00 p.m.\u00a0at the\u00a0San\u00a0Andreas\u00a0Town Hall.\u00a0 The study session will focus on issues raised in the public comments on the draft General Plan that was released in December, 2014.\u00a0 Following the study session, hearings will begin with the Planning Commission working through the goals and policies of the different elements of the draft plan.\u00a0 A schedule of hearing dates and topics will be available soon.\u00a0 Check the Planning Department website at\u00a0http:\/\/planning.calaverasgov.us\/\u00a0or upcoming dates and times.

\nThe Planning Commission is expected to take several months to work its way through the elements of the General Plan.\u00a0 Following that the Commission will forward a recommendation to the Board.\u00a0 After review by the Board, the County will begin to prepare the Environmental Impact Report for the plan.\u201d

\nOn June 30,\u00a0as the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission review comments on the General Plan and consider changes to the current draft,\u00a0we encourage you to\u00a0be informed, attend this important meeting, and make sure your voice is heard on\u00a0community plans, protection and conservation of\u00a0natural and\u00a0water resources,\u00a0economic development, firesafety,\u00a0parks and recreation, and a\u00a0clear vision statement\u00a0that will direct our future.
