The temporary repairs, scheduled between May 10 and May 25, will allow vehicle access to reservoirs during the Memorial Day weekend. Permanent repairs are scheduled between May 29 and late July.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/usfslogo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8368\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/usfslogo.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/usfslogo-150x169.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Spicer Road offers primary access to Spicer, Union, and Utica reservoirs, east of the community of Arnold, California.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are relieved to be repairing Spicer Road,\u201d said Ray Cablayan, Calaveras District ranger. \u201cLast year\u2019s winter storms really took their toll and we\u2019re glad the Federal Highway Administration was able to provide funding for the repair. Spicer is a vital transportation route for visitors, residents and permittees.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Travelers are warned that this will be an active construction site. Visitors should pay attention to roadway signs, be alert to the possibility of construction equipment, slow down when approaching traffic controllers and please drive cautiously through the construction zone.<\/p>\n<p>The Spicer Road repair project stretches from Highway 4 to Spicer Meadow Reservoir. Forest travelers should expect construction delays in the project area.
