{"id":59572,"date":"2018-05-20T08:44:57","date_gmt":"2018-05-20T15:44:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/69.46.6.243\/?p=59572"},"modified":"2018-05-20T08:44:57","modified_gmt":"2018-05-20T15:44:57","slug":"major-injuries-to-clovis-man-in-new-priest-grade-collision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/?p=59572","title":{"rendered":"Major Injuries to Clovis Man in New Priest Grade Collision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Groveland, CA&#8230;On Saturday, May 19,  2018, at approximately 10:50 am, 70 year old Clovis resident, Russell Merritt Jr., was riding down New Priest Grade on his 1993 Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling westbound on SR-120 east of Grizzly Road.  Mr. Merritt was unable to negotiate a right hand curve in the roadway and lost control of his motorcycle.  The motorcycle overturned and Mr. Merritt was ejected.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37822\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson-30x30.jpg 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Both the motorcycle and Mr. Merritt came to rest within the eastbound lane of SR-120.  Mr. Merritt was wearing a half helmet and sustained major injuries.  Mr. Merritt was treated on scene before being transported by air ambulance to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
