Moderate Injuries To CHP Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>San Andreas, CA&#8230;On July 5th, at approximately 2:34pm, a red Mazda Miata driven by a Valley Springs man  was traveling westbound on SR-12.  A San Andreas, CHP officer was traveling eastbound on SR-12, in a fully marked CHP Ford Explorer.  This collision occurred when the Miata failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and rove off the payment and onto the dirt\/gravel shoulder.  The driver over corrected and swerved to the left across the double yellow lines and directly into the path of the CHP Officer&#8217;s vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/chplogo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/chplogo.jpg\" alt=\"chplogo\" width=\"220\" height=\"94\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1001\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/chplogo.jpg 220w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/chplogo-150x64.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 220px) 100vw, 220px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The impact struck the drivers side door of the CHP vehicle and cause the vehicle to travel onto the south shoulder and roll over one time before coming to rest on it&#8217;s wheels blocking both lanes.  The Miata came to rest blocking the eastbound lane.<\/p>\n<p>SR-12 was closed for approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes.
