The purpose and intent of this chapter is to outline the emergency management organization and functions as they pertain to preparing and carrying out the plans for the protection of persons and property within the county.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/ccbos17-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/ccbos17-1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/ccbos17-1-300x166.jpg 300w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/ccbos17-1-254x141.jpg 254w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/ccbos17-1-570x316.jpg 570w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/ccbos17-1-150x83.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/ccbos17-1-500x277.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The ordinance is required by the California Emergency Services Act and establishes the Office of Emergency Services, designates the Emergency Services Director as the Director of the Office of Emergency Services, outlines the powers and duties of the Director of the Office of Emergency Services, outlines the membership of the local Disaster Council and outlines the powers and duties of the local Disaster Council.  Further, this ordinance establishes the authority of the Office of Emergency Services to utilize Disaster Service Workers.  This ordinance has not been revised since it was first adopted 1975.
