The analysis includes the environmental effects of approving voluntary water transfers from 38 water management agencies and individuals north of the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta to Central Valley Project water contractors south of the Delta and in the Bay Area over the next six years.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/reclaimation.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"180\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-59996\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/reclaimation.jpg 180w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/reclaimation-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/reclaimation-30x30.jpg 30w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/reclaimation-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Reclamation and the water authority completed a joint environmental document in 2015 for approving water transfers over a ten-year period. The document was challenged in U.S. District Court, resulting in a 2018 court ruling that the document needed further clarification. The draft revised environmental documents provide additional analysis clarifying potential environmental effects of approving these water transfers.<\/p>\n<p>Water transfers analyzed could occur through various methods including groundwater substitution, cropland idling, reservoir releases and conservation.<\/p>\n<p>The Draft Revised Environmental Impact Report\/Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act is available\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usbr.gov\/mp\/nepa\/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=18361\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.usbr.gov\/mp\/nepa\/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID%3D18361&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1550199485164000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFOog4S1nu55ydrDP_pQVUeu3n7Vg\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Comments are due by March 18.
