{"id":7530,"date":"2015-07-24T16:27:42","date_gmt":"2015-07-24T23:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/69.46.6.243\/?p=7530"},"modified":"2015-07-25T07:10:24","modified_gmt":"2015-07-25T14:10:24","slug":"i-80-designated-detour-for-sr-50kyburz-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/?p=7530","title":{"rendered":"I-80 DESIGNATED DETOUR FOR SR-50\/KYBURZ FIRE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kyburz Ca.\u00a0 Info Source: CalTrans District 10 Facebook<\/p>\n<p>The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists that Highway 50 continues to be closed from Sly Park Road in Pollock Pines to Meyers due to a vegetation fire in the American River canyon west of Kyburz.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists traveling to the Lake Tahoe Basin area are being directed to use Interstate 80 to Truckee and Highway 89 South to access all areas of the Lake Tahoe basin due to significant traffic delays on the Highway 49 and Highway 88 detours.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Forest Service, assisted by CalFire and Caltrans crews, is identifying and removing trees in the fire-damaged area of Highway 50 that could pose a danger to the traveling public.<\/p>\n<p>A re-assessment of highway safety will be undertaken late today to determine whether Highway 50 can be opened to controlled traffic. Information on fire conditions can be obtained online at <a href=\"http:\/\/inciweb.nwcg.gov\/incident\/4408\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/inciweb.nwcg.gov\/incident\/4408\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Motorists are urged to anticipate travel delays, be \u201cBe Work Zone Alert\u201d and to \u201cSlow for the Cone Zone.\u201d Caltrans will issue updates on Twitter @D3PIO and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict 3.
