Sonora, CA…AT&T has located damaged lines near Wallace, CA and are assessing the situation. Still no estimated time of repair. Shortly after 1:00 am, the City of Sonora and County of Tuolumne experienced widespread cell and landline outages. Most City and County residential 9-1-1 landlines appear to be working but emergency calls are being routed through the Police Department at this time due to a temporary failure with the answering points.<\/p>\n

The Police Department and Sheriff’s Department have established communications with other local agencies and service to the community should not be interrupted.<\/p>\n

If you need assistance from either agency, you may utilize the 9-1-1 system to contact us. We recommend locating a landline for emergency calls to ensure a better connection.<\/p>\n
