{"id":77930,"date":"2019-04-11T11:37:16","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T18:37:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/69.46.6.243\/?p=77930"},"modified":"2019-04-11T11:37:16","modified_gmt":"2019-04-11T18:37:16","slug":"rumble-strips-to-be-installed-on-27-miles-of-state-route-108","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/?p=77930","title":{"rendered":"Rumble Strips to Be Installed on 27 Miles of State Route 108"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sonora, CA&#8230;The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is preparing a highway improvement project that will add centerline and shoulder rumble strips to 27 miles of State Route 108 (SR-108) in Tuolumne county.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/caltranslogo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Work will be performed at the following locations:<br \/>\n\u2022 From the SR-49\/SR-108 junction to Draper Mine Road, about 6 miles;<br \/>\n\u2022 A half-mile west of Twaine Harte Drive to Stoddard Springs, about 12 miles;<br \/>\n\u2022 From Heliport Road to a half-mile west of Herring Creek Road, about 9 miles;<br \/>\nWork is scheduled to start Sunday, April 14, 2019, with the project expected to finish in the<br \/>\nSummer of 2019. The work from the SR-49\/SR-108 to Draper Mine Road will be done at night,<br \/>\nwhile work will be done during the day at the other two locations.<\/p>\n<p>The night work will primarily be Sunday through Thursday, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. The<br \/>\nday work will primarily be 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday\u2019s work will typically end at 3:00<br \/>\np.m. so that the highway is clear for weekend visitors and tourists to the region.<br \/>\nOne-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should expect delays of 10 minutes.<br \/>\nRumble strips are designed to alert drivers when their vehicles leave their traffic lane.<br \/>\nAs tires pass over the rumble strips, drivers can hear the noise and feel the vibration<br \/>\nproduced by these rumble strips.
