{"id":78155,"date":"2019-04-15T09:21:37","date_gmt":"2019-04-15T16:21:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/69.46.6.243\/?p=78155"},"modified":"2019-04-15T09:21:37","modified_gmt":"2019-04-15T16:21:37","slug":"some-seasonal-roads-on-stanislaus-national-forest-will-remain-closed-past-april-15-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/?p=78155","title":{"rendered":"Some Seasonal Roads on Stanislaus National Forest will Remain Closed Past April 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sonora, CA&#8230;Stanislaus National Forest will open seasonal roads beginning April 15, but some forest roads will remain closed until forest crews can inspect them to ensure they were not damaged during this year\u2019s winter storms.<br \/>\n Jason Kuiken, Stanislaus National Forest supervisor, said workers haven\u2019t been able to inspect all the forest roads yet because many are still covered with snow. A series of heavy storms during the 2018-2019 winter led to significant snow levels on all ranger districts.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/usfslogo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8368\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/usfslogo.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/usfslogo-150x169.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe received a significant amount of snow this winter and much of it still hasn\u2019t melted. Our reports tell of as much as 20 feet of snow on some of our high-country roads,\u201d Kuiken said. \u201cIt will take time for all of them to reopen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A list of roads and when each will open can be found at https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/land\/stanislaus\/landmanagement.<\/p>\n<p>Of additional concern to forest managers is the impact of the Donnell Fire on the risk from mud, rocks and debris slides. \u201cWe are reviewing an analysis showing levels of risk from the Donnell Fire,\u201d Kuiken said. \u201cWe are studying the analysis to ensure locations within the fire\u2019s footprint are safe to access.
