Rail Road Flat, CA…Update on 2019 Winter Storms Disaster INdependence Road Project. Calaveras County Department of Public Works has determined that Independence Road will be re-opened to local traffic and emergency vehicles beginning on Saturday, April 27, 2019, barring any unforeseen circumstances. Please be advised that some areas of Independence Road will only have access for one-way traffic and Public Works requests that drivers reduce their speed and use caution throughout the area.<\/p>\n

Public Works staff is working with California Governor\u2019s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) on multiple 2019 Winter Storms Disaster Projects throughout Calaveras County.<\/p>\n
