Washington Street at an unknown rate of speed.  At that location, Sonora Police Department Officer Thomas Brickley, was parked on the right shoulder of westbound State Route 108, west of S. Washington Street with his rear amber warning lights activated.  Officer Brickley was dispatched to another call and activated the patrol vehicle\u2019s blue and red emergency lights.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37822\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson-30x30.jpg 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/sonpd.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71173\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/sonpd.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/sonpd-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/sonpd-30x30.jpg 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As Mr. Alameda approached the rear of Officer Brickley\u2019s patrol vehicle, Officer Brickley attempted to make a u turn into the eastbound lane of State Route 108, directly in the path of the Mr. Alameda\u2019s motorcycle.  Mr. Alameda was unable to avoid colliding with the left side of the patrol vehicle.  After the vehicles collided, Mr. Alameda suffered major injuries and was transported to Doctors Medical Center for treatment.
