Kennedy Meadows, CA…Update from the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept…Friday at 1000 AM: The preliminary Investigation into yesterday\u2019s shooting at Deadman\u2019s campground in the Stanislaus National Forest was completed early yesterday evening. Reports indicate that a man and his girlfriend were asleep in their tent when an unassociated 36-year-old Watsonville man entered their tent at approx. 2:00 AM. The woman woke up to the Watsonville man on top of her. The woman yelled to wake up her boyfriend who was next to her in the tent. During the ensuing confrontation, the Watsonville man was shot, causing his death. <\/p>\n

Investigators are working closely with the District Attorney\u2019s office on this case. No arrests have been made. <\/p>\n
