The fire crew member succumbed to injuries suffered when struck by a tree during initial firefighting efforts on a new wildfire named the \u201cSierra\u201d Fire. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30pm in a remote area between the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit and the Eldorado National Forest.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/usfslogo1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/usfslogo1.jpg\" alt=\"usfslogo\" width=\"200\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7952\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/usfslogo1.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/usfslogo1-150x169.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A second firefighter who was also injured in the incident has been treated and released from a local hospital.
