San Andreas, CA….It has been since 2006 when a General Plan Update Moratorium was voted upon at a special meeting at the Metropolitan since Calaveras County has had a functioning general plan.\u00a0 Since then we have had numerous boards, millions of dollars spent, community plans, political posturing, anger, lack of progress, arguments over the definition of progress, back room deals and generally a pitiful display of why government, even local government never seems to get anything done.\u00a0 Some have even died before progress could be made on their projects.\u00a0 For many that is success.\u00a0 For some while it is their version of success it is also why California has a housing affordability problem that isn’t going away anytime soon.\u00a0 For many in the county now even a blank document or a plan they hate is better than the 13 year mess we have had.\u00a0 The full agenda is below.<\/p>\n
