<\/p>\nCoulterville, CA…On September 6, 2019 at approximately 8:55 pm, a 57-year-old male from Clovis, CA, was riding his 2006 Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle northbound on State Route 49 north of the Tuolumne\/Mariposa County line at an unknown rate of speed.\u00a0\u00a0 As he entered a slight left curve in the roadway, the rider allowed his motorcycle to travel onto the east gravel shoulder of State Route 49.\u00a0 He lost control of his motorcycle and it overturned and struck a road sign.\u00a0 The rider was ejected, and the motorcycle came to rest on top of him.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

At approximately 9:00 pm, a witness stopped to investigate the overturned motorcycle and called 9-1-1 to report the collision.\u00a0 The witness noticed the unresponsive rider underneath the motorcycle and lifted it off of him and began CPR.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision.\u00a0 It was determined he was wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the collision. This collision is still under investigation and the rider\u2019s identity is being withheld pending his family\u2019s notification.
