Lake Alpine, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close State Route 4 beginning Tuesday, September 24, 2019, to Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each day for road work. The full closure will be in effect over Ebbetts Pass from the east end of Lake Alpine to the closure gate at Raymond Meadows Creek (just east of the Silver Creek Campground). Lake Alpine is open and accessible.<\/p>\n

There is no local detour available. Motorists should plan to use Route 88 or Route 108 as alternate routes.
