San Andreas, CA….The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors is back in action today with a continuation of yesterday’s Cannabis centric items. Item One…Conduct a public hearing, accept the addendum to the Environmental Impact Report for the Medical Cannabis Cultivation and Commerce Ordinance Project, make appropriate findings, adopt an ordinance amendment rescinding Chapter 17.95 of the County Code and replacing it with a new Chapter 17.95 regulating commercial and non-commercial cannabis cultivation, and direct staff to publish a summary of the ordinance. Followed by…introduce and waive reading of an ordinance adding Chapter 9.22, entitled \u201cCannabis Background Clearance Badge (CBCB),” to the Calaveras County Code and authorize a summary publication of the ordinance; find ordinance exempt from CEQA; direct staff concerning future fee implementation.
