Murphys, CA…The 26th Annual Calaveras Grape Stomp presented by the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance was held on October 5, 2019 in Murphys. The Grape Stomp in conjunction with the Street Fair on Main Street drew thousands of people to Murphys. It was a day of perfect weather, great competition & more. The winning stomp team was the father & son “Hatcher Winery” team of Matt & Sewell Hatcher with 24.14 pounds of juice. Second was “The Wright Stuff” with Greg & Brian Wright with 23.4 pounds of juice. Third was the “Grapeful Dead” team of Dale & Jennifer Marcum with 21.87 pounds of juice. This year’s Costume Contest Winners were: 1st Place “Make America Grape Again” Bill Collins and John Gambertogilio from Burlingame, 2nd Place “Simply Red” Randy Gillmore and Nelson from Milliaire Winery Murphys, 3rd Place “Fabulous Weinsteins” Nancy Shaughnessy and Jan Hawley from San Francisco<\/p>\n
