Upon arrival, deputies discovered a male who was in need of medical attention. This male had been the victim of a serious violent battery. Due to the extent of the victim\u2019s injuries, he was taken to a valley hospital for emergency medical attention.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ccsoround.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-81056\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ccsoround.jpg 250w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ccsoround-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ccsoround-30x30.jpg 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Calaveras County Sheriff\u2019s Investigators were dispatched to the scene. Investigators processed the scene, conducted interviews, collected physical evidence, and reviewed surveillance video throughout the following day.<\/p>\n<p>On October 13th, 2019 at about 7:00pm Sheriff\u2019s Detectives contacted Suspect Benjamin David Robitaille (38, Valley Springs) as he was leaving a residence in Valley Springs and placed him under arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Benjamin Robitaille was booked into the Calaveras County Jail on charges 245 (A)(1) PC (Assault with a Deadly Weapon) 245(A)(4) PC (Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Force\/Great Bodily Injury) and 243(D) PC (Battery with Serious Injury) Benjamin Robitaille was released after posting $110,000.00 bail. <\/p>\n<p>The investigation is continuing.
